Sheykhet Studios built the Jewish Museum’s digital twin and worked closely with the museum’s team to support the development of Oded Halahmy: Models in Wood in Gallery 208. The exhibition’s initial designs were developed within the digital twin in late 2025. Once the concept was established, the twin continued to support visualization, design development, fabrication, and installation. It now serves as a living record of both Gallery 208 and the museum at large—a collaborative environment in which future exhibitions and ideas can be tested, refined, and realized.
Chapter 1: Documenting the Space
Exhibition planning begins with understanding the existing space and designing within it. The digital twin provides an accurate three-dimensional record of the gallery as it currently exists, including its dimensions, walls, ceilings, and fixtures. Both 2D drawings and 3D views can then be produced from this single model.
Chapter 2: Designing & Iterating
The digital twin enables rapid visualization and iteration through renderings, videos, and interactive experiences. The three case studies below present the exhibition at different stages of its development. The first and third are interactive panoramas, while the middle is a video that helped inform the exhibition’s design.

Chapter 3: Fabrication & Installation
Documentation produced from the digital twin—including drawings, dimensions, and placement information—guides fabrication and installation, helping translate the design accurately from the digital environment into the physical gallery.
